David "Curly" Krueger Obituary

David “Curly” J. Krueger, age 61 of Marion, passed away early Tuesday morning February 23, 2021 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

David John Krueger or “Curly” as he was well known was born April 5, 1959 in Clintonville, son to Betty (Braun) Krueger and the late John Charles Krueger. He attended grade school at St. Martin Lutheran School, and later graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1977. He received technical training in CNC woodworking and design; later working at the Clock Factory in Clintonville; Simmons, New London; Valley Planing Mill, Appleton; Lincoln Wood Products, Merrill; & the Marion Quick Mart. Curly was united in marriage to Lorri (Somann) Allen at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion on May 8, 2004. He was an active member of St. John’s in Marion where he taught Sunday School, was a soloist for special music, often at the 6AM Easter service, and also sang with the Come Alive worship team. He was a member of the Marion Pond Association and volunteered at Mama’s House of Hope/Marion Area Food Pantry. Curly loved to spend time outside, whether he was fishing, hunting, or spending time tending to his garden. He really enjoyed participating in the disabled hunting opportunities at Wichman Farms; also in his younger years, spending time at the hunting cabin with his dad and brothers, telling stories and making venison jerky for everyone. He played in many tournaments over the years competing in Cribbage, Darts, and Pool. After being diagnosed with diabetes when he was a toddler, he developed a good attitude and a strong fighting spirit throughout all of his health struggles over the years; right up until his Earthly life came to a close. Curly had a passion for motorcycles for many years, he loved the freedom and adventure it provided. He also really enjoyed Halloween; his decorations were always prominent in his yard, and he took joy in making milk-jug skeletons for all of his friends. He will always be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather, who also loved God and his church family.
