David “Doobie” M. Gagnon, age 66 of the Town of Pella, Shawano County passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday evening December 14, 2025.
David Michael Gagnon was born as a twin on March 31, 1959 in Green Bay as the son of the late John and Joan (Janssen) Gagnon. When he was still young, his mother passed away during the childbirth of a sibling so he was raised by Melvin and Margaret Brady. David graduated from Bowler High School in 1977 where he met Faith Bierman. The couple were later united in marriage on August 15, 1987 in Bowler and resided in the Town of Pella ever since. David worked for while with Dan Dillenberg drilling wells and proudly operated Gagnon Riverside Drywall prior to retirement in 2015. David was quite an outdoorsman and known in the local hunting circles as “Doobie”. According to his wife, he rarely remembered their wedding anniversary date but could readily recall every place he landed a trophy musky or jumped a pack of coyotes with his beloved hounds. He absolutely loved his elk hunting trips to Montana and fishing trips to Canada. David also raced in the Tilleda Pond Ice Races in his younger years and was the go to designated driver at all the local dirt track races. His passion was hound hunting and always thought there was no better sound than that of his hounds. Dave was a guy of many adventures and he lived each day to the absolute fullest. There are undoubtedly quite a few stories that could be told and shared and it is through those that will make his memory live on.
