Deloris B. DeBuhr, age 102, of Embarrass, formerly of Gresham, passed away on Tuesday December 26, 2023 at The Pines Post Acute & Memory Care, Embarrass.
Deloris Bernice DeBuhr was born July 20, 1921 in Howards Grove, WI, daughter to the late Gustav & Viola (Brumsted) Walk. After graduating from Howards Grove High School in 1938, Deloris was united in marriage to Donald DeBuhr on September 1, 1938 in Iowa. She enjoyed her role as a stay at home mom for their growing family. During Don’s working years, the family lived in the Milwaukee area until retirement, when they built a home near Gresham. Deloris loved to host and entertain friends and family in her home. She was an excellent cook, baked her own fresh bread, and canned much of the bounty produced by her large garden. Deloris and Don traveled often in retirement and even went to Europe among many other places. The couple enjoyed square-dancing over the years. Faith in Christ was the foundation of her life; Deloris studied the Word and prayed often as a devoted Christian. She will be remembered for her honesty and forthright way she would let others know what was on her mind, as well as her funny, witty, sense of humor. The love she had for her family was boundless and her family is happy that she’s now in her Father’s house.
She is survived by:
