Dennis R. Mehlberg

Dennis R. Mehlberg, age 71 of the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday, June 12, 2025 of a medical event while mowing his lawn.

Dennis Ray Mehlberg was born on March 11, 1954 in Clintonville to the late Arnold and Deloris (Dalum) Mehlberg and baptized on March 28, 1954. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1972 and continued his education with Fox Valley Technical College in their Electronics Program. He then worked with his father at Clintonville Electric for the next 10 years. Dennis was united in marriage to Beth Wait on June 9, 1973 at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where the couple were current members. Dennis served the congregation over the years as an usher and as a member of the Property and Trust Fund Committees. At the age of 30, Dennis decided to further his education; earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from UW Green Bay. From there he began working as a chemist for Pace Analytical which is an environmental testing company in Green Bay. He also spent many early mornings over the years delivering the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal and Green Bay Press Gazette newspapers on his route to work at Pace for the day. Dennis retired from Pace on his birthday in 2020, just as the COVID pandemic brought everyday activities to a halt. Although he had made many friends at Pace, Dennis definitely loved retirement; especially when he was able to spend time admiring God’s creation in the outdoors around his home. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, and was a member of the Clintonville Trap Club which was founded by his father, Arnold. Anyone that knew Dennis knew he trusted in his Lord, doted on his family, could fix anything, and was one of the hardest working guys you could find. He is now entrusted to the care of his Lord and Savior until we meet again.

Survivors include: His Wife: Beth Mehlberg.
Children: Mike (Krissy) Mehlberg & Molly (Matt Holl) Lohrentz.
Grandchildren: Morgan Mehlberg, Allison (Jake Kizewski) Mehlberg, Alex Lohrentz, and Lauren (Dante Caiani) Lohrentz.
Also a Great-Grandchild on the way due in October.
Special Ex-Son-in-law: Keith Lohrentz.
His Brothers: Larry (Mary) Mehlberg & Jerry (Rose) Mehlberg.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Deloris Mehlberg.

Dennis’ funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 4 PM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday (June 28, 2025) from 2 PM until the time of the service.
