Donald “Don” G. Wolff, age 96 of the Town of Fairbanks, Shawano County, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday evening, April 21, 2026.
Donald Gustave Wolff was born on August 3, 1929 in the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County as the son of the late Gustave and Selma (Watters) Wolff. He attended Excelsior Grade School and began working at an early age as a farmhand. He was united in marriage to Marjorie “Marge” Fuhrman on August 6, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tigerton. The couple purchased a farm across the road from Marge’s home farm in the Town of Fairbanks where they farmed their entire married lives. Don was all about the farming way of life and worked hard at it. He took pride in raising beautiful cattle and crops. When Don wasn’t farming, he was talking about farming with friends and family. As a member of St. John’s, Don volunteered to decorate the Christmas Tree as he was not afraid of heights, served as an usher, and was on the Board of Trustees. He was a simple guy and enjoyed Sunday drives, going out to eat, and polka dancing with Marge. Don had a voice that even neighbors would recognize and always lit up when his grandchildren were around.
Survivors include:
His children: Dennis (Cheryl) Wolff, Larry (Kathy) Wolff, Janice (Bob) Reed, and Jerald (Crystal Thiex) Wolff.
Grandchildren: Kristin, Brian, Matthew, & Brandon Reed, Katelin (Nick) Raimondi, and Hailey & Hayden Wolff.
Sisters-in-law: Carol Fuhrman, Marcella (Elton) Strassburg, & Beverly Fuhrman.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marge in 2003, siblings Elaine (Erich) Froemming, Norman (Rosetta) Wolff, Helen (Harold) Mueller, Ruth (Roger) Miller, and by brothers-in-law Marvin & Herbert Fuhrman.
