Donna Lederer Obituary

Donna Marie Lederer, 74, of Clintonville, WI entered her eternal home on July 21, 2026, at Thedacare Medical Center Shawano with her family by her side.

Donna was born November 25, 1951 in Fairfield IL to Joyce Marie (Warne) Seifert and Carl Eugene Seifert.

Donna grew up in Madison, WI and was fortunate to have not only a great dad, but a wonderful stepfather later on, Russell Seger.

Donna married Tom Lederer on August 18, 1972 in Madison, WI. After a honeymoon through IL and Tennessee, they settled down in Madison to begin life together. Tom’s job in retail sales took them on several moves over the years. First to Janesville, then to Antigo, and in 1984, to Clintonville where they reside today.

Donna was a full time mom and housewife for many years, while enjoying having her own businesses selling Tupperware and Wicker Plus, but she always had a desire to do something more and once the kids were a little older, she decided to pursue her passion- nursing. She graduated in 1984 with her associate degree in nursing from FVTC and after passing her RN exam, she began her new career and never looked back. She spent the next few decades doing what she loved most- caring for patients of all ages and sharing her knowledge. She had a natural intuition for helping her patients. Even in the nursing home and hospital, she was always ready to teach younger nurses some skill that she had learned along the way.

Donna had a strong faith in God and was an active member of Christ Congregational Church in Clintonville. Even after retiring from employment as an active RN, she was proud to serve as her church’s parish nurse.

Donna’s hobbies included sewing, dry and silk flower arranging, knitting, crocheting, reading and doing word puzzles. She and her husband were on a bowling league at one time, and she could do beautiful calligraphy and embroidery too. Many of the grandkids have one of grandma Donna’s special crocheted quilts or pajamas, or a pair of her famous knitted socks.

One of Donna’s other loves was her Rottweilers. Tom and Donna have rarely been without one and each of her “Peanuts” that have gone before were surely there to greet her at heaven’s gates. Her current Peanut will miss her but Tom will give her plenty of rides and spoil her.

Donna was known for her feisty personality, her need to do everything HER way and on HER own terms. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and loved deeply. Her message to all of her family and friends is “ I love you all very much and we will see each other again someday so don’t cry for me. “

Donna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom, her children: Nancy (David) Meyer, James (Jessica) Lederer, Robert (Sarah) Lederer and David Lederer.
Her grandchildren: Nathan (Eryn) Hidde, Steven (Stephanie) Hidde, Emma Kumm (Fiancée Tyler Greyslak), Andrew Lederer, Alex Lederer, Cora Lederer and Rebekah Lederer
Step-grandchildren: Alicia (Andy) Hartwig, Hannah and Katie Meyer
Great-grandchildren: Raelynn, Camdyn, Nora, Maggie, Olivia, Aiden, Jace and Graham Donna is further survived by many beloved friends and she loved you all

Preceding her in death are her parents, her stepfather, many friends and relatives and we know they are all reunited now in heaven.
