Donna M. Polzin, age 87 of the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County passed away Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2025 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
Donna Mae Mevis was born on January 16, 1938 in Marion as the daughter of the late Ben and Lenora (Pockat) Mevis. She graduated from Marion High School in 1956 and was united in marriage to David H. Polzin on May 10, 1958 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Marion. The couple farmed in Dupont where they were faithful members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for many years. Donna volunteered for just about everything at church; serving as church organist for over 50 years, custodian, Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday School. After retiring from the farm, Donna enjoyed spending her time making quilts and school bags for Lutheran World Relief. She definitely looked forward to their Friday night cards with family and the annual New Year’s Eve parties with close friends. Donna was an animal lover and enjoyed being in the outdoors. She always had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens and cherished any time spent with family; especially when it came to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
