Doris Aderman Obituary

Doris E. Aderman, age 98 of Embarrass formerly of Marion, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Pines in Embarrass.

Doris Elaine Marth was born on May 30, 1923 in Plymouth as the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Arnold) Marth. She graduated from Plymouth High School and was united in marriage to Robert H. Aderman in 1947. The couple resided in Plymouth where Doris worked for Kraft foods. Robert’s job brought them to the Marion area in 1960. The couple became members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion and have been ever since. Doris was definitely a homebody but she was a wonderful cook who was always a hard worker throughout her life. She loved tending to her many gardens and in late summer was very busy canning the fruits of her labors. Her pickles were the best. Doris also enjoyed nature and taking walks in the woods. She was dedicated to her family her entire life and will certainly be missed.

Survivors include:
Her daughters: Judy (Ronald) Grunewald and Ann (James) Mattes.
Her son: Robert D. “Clyde” (Nancy Hart-Aderman) Aderman.
Her grandchildren: Brady (Kim) Aderman, Heather (Dean) Schroeder, Laurel (Kevin) Grunewald, Ben (Chris) Aderman, Gina (Ted) Jobe, Jamie (Ron) Cannon, Greg Grunewald, Dan Mattes, Michael (Mary)Mattes, Eric (Samantha) Mattes, Todd (Lori) Mattes, and Brian Mattes.
Her great grandchildren: Maggie & Nathan Aderman, Leah, Allen & Bethany Jobe, Marlee, Zhenya, River, Reed, & Ruby Mattes, Rayne Cannon, Zoey, Noah, McKenzie, Aaron, Logan, & Caden Grunewald, and Hunter Aderman.
Her sister: Mildred Forstner.
Also a sister-in-law: Jean Harder.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 2012, a son James “Fred” Aderman, brothers Robert and Ralph Marth, and brothers-in-law Sylvester Forstner & Kenneth Harder.
