Doris Ann Horn, age 91 passed away on Saturday morning December 9, 2023 at Aster Assisted Living, Clintonville, Wisconsin.
Doris was born March 19, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter to the late William & Elfrieda (Junk) Hinkel, who she selflessly cared for for many years. In Doris' own words, "I wanted everyone to know the joy of my life was to know and serve the Lord. I also wanted to thank everyone for being a great blessing in my life." Doris spent many years as a CNA and volunteer at Villa Clement in West Allis. She was a devoted and loving mother to Rosemarie (Rosie, 1957-1977).
Doris is survived by her loving and adoring family: Cheryl (Scott) Chapin, Janine Petryk, Dawn (Steve) Ott, Darlene Osgood, Bill (Rose, departed) Hinkel, Doreen Hinkel, Deb (Herb) Bohn, Jeff Lohman, Patty (Randy) Prestash, and many great and great, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elfrieda Hinkel, daughter Rosemarie Horn, brother William Hinkel, sister in law Anna Hinkel, sister Mae Docta, brother in law Lawrence Docta, and cousin Janice Lohman.
A special thank you to the entire staff of Aster Assisted Living Facility and ThedaCare Hospice for their kind and compassionate care over the years.
A celebration of life will be held at Aster Assisted Living in Clintonville, Wisconsin on Saturday, December 16 at 1pm.
