Obituary

 Duane C. Schoen, age 63 years, of Clintonville passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Shawano Medical Center.


   Duane Charles Schoen was born October 11, 1942 in Manawa to Raymond and Lenora (Abraham) Schoen.  He was raised in the Manawa area and on Sept. 18, 1965 was married to Peggy R. Colden in New London.  Duane lived in New London from 1964-87.  Over the years, he was employed as a meat cutter at Wolf River Sausage, Weyauwega, at the Neenah Foundry, and he also worked at Hillshire Meats in New London.  On October 29, 1988 he was united in marriage to Sharel R. Goltz in Waupaca.  Duane lived in Waupaca for a few years and moved to Marion in 1989.  After five years in Marion, the couple settled in Clintonville in 1994.  Duane is a member of Family of Christ - Assembly of God in Clintonville.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycling, and music, especially listening to religious and country music.  His other interests included coin collecting, raising rabbits, and picking black berries.


   Survivors include his wife, Sharel.  Three children; Patty (Mark) Cahak of Oak Creek, Charlie (friend Jennifer Tess) Schoen of New London, and Kendra Schoen of Clintonville.  There are four grandchildren; Zach Dietz, Anna, Emily & Rebecca Cahak.  Further survived by two brothers, Leroy (Maureen) Schoen of Kenosha, Steve Schoen of Appleton, and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bruce & Franklin, and a sister-in-law, Cindi.


   Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Family of Christ - Assembly of God in Clintonville.  Rev. Richard M. Vanman will officiate.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.  Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.  The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family.
