Edna I. Miller

Edna I. Miller, age 90, of E3976 County G, Big Falls, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2006 at her home.

The former Edna Irene Rustad was born January 28, 1916 in the town of New Hope, Portage County, to James and Olga (Olstad) Rustad. After completing 12 years of schooling, on January 2, 1937, in the town of Big Falls, Edna married Adolph C. Miller. Edna was an active homemaker in her own home and loved spending time with her four children. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, doing puzzles, and watching birds. She was also a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Big Falls, was a former Sunday school teacher, church quilter, and served on the Altar Guild. Edna was a member of Women of the ELCA (WELCA), and took part in an organization called the Klic-Klac Klub, founded in 1946.

Survivors include four children: Carole (Edward) Martin of Milwaukee, William (Suzanne) Miller of Big Falls, Thomas (Mary) Miller of Big Falls, and Jane Hancock on Goreville, IL. Edna also has 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Ruth Anklam of Big Falls, Vivian Sneller of Green Bay, Betty Jordan of Philadelphia, PA, and one brother, James (Donna) Rustad of Big Falls. Preceding Edna in death was her husband, Adolph Miller of Big Falls, one grandchild, three brothers, and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Big Falls. Rev. Janice M. Kuder will officiate and burial will follow at Big Falls Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
