Elaine R. Beery, age 91 of Clintonville passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday September 7, 2021.
Elaine Ruth Walters was born in White Lake on March 22, 1930 as the daughter of the late Ivan and Minnie (Combs) Walters. She graduated from White Lake High School in 1948 and met her future husband, Jim Beery while he was up north on a deer hunting trip. The couple were wed on January 10, 1958 in Dubuque, IA and in 1964 moved to Clintonville as Jim was relocated for work. They were members of St. Rose Catholic Church in town ever since. Elaine worked for quite a few years as a CNA at Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass and area residents may remember her from Fraulien’s Clothing Store in Clintonville where she worked for a number of years. Towards the end of her working years, Elaine worked in the office at the Landmark Motel in Clintonville. She and Jim spent many years golfing and curling with friends both in Clintonville and in Florida. Elaine was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63 in town and was known for her cooking and decorating capabilities. She looked forward to walking in town with friends and loved her grandchildren and family very much.
Survivors include: Her Husband of 63 years: Jim Beery.
Daughters: Mary (Darrell) Ruh, Bonnie (Dave) Ferg, and Cindy (Warren) Walotka.
Grandchildren: Kelly (Jason Saff) Ruh, Don (Tammy) Ruh, Corey Ferg, Shannon (Emily) Ferg, and Megan & Melanie Walotka.
Great-Grandchildren: Maddy & Hudson Ruh, Zoey, Nash, Brady, Tyler, & Lucas Ferg.
Also a Sister-in-law: Marilyn Walters.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Sonny Walters, Bonnie (Don) Sharron, Bobby (Carol) Walters, and Billy & Larry Walters.
A private graveside service will be held for Elaine at the St. Rose Cemetery in Clintonville with Fr. Timothy Shillcox O. Praem officiating. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
