Erma M. Sabrowsky, age 88, formerly of Tigerton, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg, where she had been a resident for the past three years.
The former Erma Martha Linke was born November 6, 1917 in the Town of Germania, Shawano County, and was the daughter of the late William G. and Anna L. (Bublitz) Linke. She was united in marriage to Wilbert W. Sabrowsky on March 4, 1944 at Peace Lutheran Church, Split Rock. Wilbert passed away July 20, 1985. The couple farmed in the Town of Fairbanks, Shawano County, while Erma also worked at the Hanson Glove Factory, formerly of Clintonville for 20 years, and later worked as a cook at the Hwy. 45 cafe at Tigerton. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and fishing.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, LaVila Sabrowsky, Manawa, and Dorothy Linke, Wittenberg, and two brothers-in-law, Ben Roemer, FL, and Ben True, IL. Also nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate, and burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call on Thursday, at the church only, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services.
