Evelyn W. (Menge) Kriewaldt

Evelyn Wilma Kriewaldt (Menge) age 99 of Clintonville, formerly of Embarrass went to her heavenly home on Saturday morning October 19, 2024.

She was born on April 1, 1925 and raised in Tigerton as the daughter of German immigrants Emil and Johanna (Michel) Menge. She married Victor Kriewaldt on September 4, 1943. The couple farmed near Embarrass until Victor’s death on July 10, 1962. Soon after his death, Evelyn moved into the home they were building near Embarrass and in 1966 she moved to her home in Shawano. Then in 2004 she returned to the same house that she and her husband built in Embarrass. 

She designed, contracted and decorated several houses in Embarrass, Appleton and Shawano which she enjoyed doing with great pleasure. She also enjoyed the natural beauty of trees, flowers, birds and especially pink roses and she even saw the beauty in weeds. 

She is survived by her five children: Sonja Roth, Tucson, AZ, Connie Ely, Neenah, Steven (Helen) Kriewaldt, Tucson, AZ, Sam (Nancy) Kriewaldt, Shawano, and Vicki Harris, Shawano. She is further survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents and husband Victor, she was preceded in death by one grandchild Josh Kriewaldt, four brothers Alfred, Robert, Rev. Louis, and Walter Menge, and her four sisters Olga Wulk, Martha Mattes, Lillian Korth, and Elaine Wallace.
