Faye Dorothy (Kroening) Krause

Faye D. Krause, age 95 of Big Falls, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home.

Faye Dorothy Krause was born October 27, 1926 in the Town of Seneca, Shawano County, daughter to the late Alex & Julia (Lang) Kroening Sr. She lived her early life in Tilleda where she attended 8 years of grade school and worked as a farm hand with her father and brothers. Faye later moved to the Marion area. She was united in marriage to Marlyn Currier on July 30, 1960 in Waupaca, and the couple lived in the Big Falls area. After Marlyn died in September of 1973, Faye moved back to Marion where she worked at Marion Furniture. She was later married to Benjamin Krause, in Waukegan, IL and moved back to Big Falls in 1982. Faye retired in 1985 after working at Marion Furniture for over 38 years. Benjamin preceded her in death on November 11, 1990. Faye liked trout fishing in her younger years, playing Sheepshead, and board games.

Faye is survived by her: 
Sister: Pearl Plauster, Marion
Brother: Harvey Kroening, Bowler
Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good neighbors in the Village of Big Falls

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Marlyn Currier & Benjamin Krause; a sister, Opal Splittgerber; and brothers, Marvin Kroening & Alex Kroening Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion, with the Rev. Jennie Pockat officiating. Interment will take place at Big Falls Cemetery, Big Falls, following the service.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service.
