Florence McMurdo Obituary

Florence D. McMurdo, age 79 of Clintonville passed away Saturday evening, August 8, 2020 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.

Florence was born on July 6, 1941 in the Town of Nashville, Forest County as the daughter of the late Orville and Patricia “Patsy” (Henschen) Montgomery. She grew up in the Milwaukee area where she raised her family. She was later united in marriage to John McMurdo in Monico. Florence worked various part-time jobs throughout her life and was also an excellent homemaker. She loved cooking and gardening with her mom, adored animals, and enjoyed doing needlework; especially cross stitch. Florence was a wonderful mother and will be remembered for her warm heart and overall kindness.

Survivors include: Her husband: John McMurdo

Daughters: Lori (Dave Sroka) Blazek & Leia (Jack Warrington) Blazek.

Grandchildren: Bryan (Brandi) Gleisner & Dana (Jack) Marshall.

Great-Grandchildren: Lydia, Leo, Chloe, & Ethan Marshall.

Sister: Barbara (Robert) Zera.

Brother: Wayne (Bunny) Montgomery, Sr.

As well as nieces and nephews: Lisa (John) Arrowood, Joseph (Michelle) Zera, William (Jessica) Zera, & Wendy (Mike) Larsen.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Orville Montgomery, Jr., a niece; Janice Zera, and a nephew; Wayne Montgomery, Jr.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held for Florence on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 3:30pm until 5pm at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, 53 N. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for the American Heart Association. An online guestbook can be found at www.eberhardtstevenson.com
