Harold M. Noack

Harold M. Noack, age 85 of Embarrass passed away at his home on Monday evening, December 7, 2020. 

Harold was born on March 12, 1935 in Black Creek as the son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Fahrenkrug) Noack. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1953 and began working in construction and as a pipe fitter. He was united in marriage to Jean Gast on August 7, 1954 in Appleton. The couple moved to Tipler in 1963, and later moved to the Suring area where Harold farmed until 1971. Then they moved to Streamwood, IL where he managed a JC Penny store. Harold later began working as a parts manager for Bier Motors and later at Kellenberger Automotive in Elgin, IL. The married couple then decided to purchase an auto repair shop in Embarrass in October of 1973. Harold proudly operated Noack’s Garage in Embarrass until his retirement in 1997; passing it on to his son David who currently operates the family business. Harold also operated an over the road trucking company out of his garage in Embarrass for a number of years. He was a pillar of the Embarrass community for many years; serving as the village constable and was instrumental in forming the softball league in 1975. Harold always doted on his family and was proud of each and every one of them.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean, son William “Billy” Noack, grandson Aaron Noack, Granddaugher-in-law Kim Grunwald, daughter-in-law Cynthia “Cindy” Noack, his brothers Clarence (Ione), Earl (Betty), Erv (Pat) and Maynard Noack

Harold’s funeral service will be held on Monday December 14, 2020 at 12 PM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Timothy Lofgren officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Embarrass. A public visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. The service will be recorded and available to view on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
