Howard Harry Hamilton was born on July 25, 1943 in Clintonville as the son of the late Chas. Franklin and Leona (Plumb) Hamilton. As a young man Harry served in the United States Air Force from August of 1960 until his honorable discharge in May of 1965. Following his service he became a firefighter and eventual fire chief at Billy Mitchell Air Field with the 440th Airborne in Milwaukee; retiring in 1992. On August 11, 1984 Harry was united in marriage to Sandy (Zarda) Buss in Libertyville, IL. The couple moved back to Clintonville after Harry’s retirement where he worked at a car wash and later operated his own. Harry was a proud lifetime member of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63 where he volunteered on the military honors team for over 30 years.
