James “Jim” A. Borchardt, age 83 of Clintonville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 24, 2024 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano.
James “Jim” Arthur Borchardt was born January 16, 1941 in Clintonville, WI, son to the late Clarence E. & Georgiana J. (Dahm) Borchardt. He graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in January of 1960. After serving his country for four years, Jim was honorably discharged in 1964. He worked as a foreman at FWD Seagrave, Clintonville for over 40 years. Jim was united in marriage to Janet “Jan” M. Friedrich on November 28, 1964 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville, where he was a current member. Jim and Jan loved taking their year trip up to Minoqua to enjoy the shops and the casino. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, both deer and small game, in his younger years. Jim enjoyed watching many different kinds of sports like football, baseball, and auto racing. Every Saturday, Jim and his friends went out to eat for breakfast at local restaurants for food and fellowship. Time spent with his family was what Jim cherished most, especially camping with everyone at Kinney Lake Campground, near Marion. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Granddaughters: Katelynn (fiance, Axel Carrasquillo) & Leah Marohl
Great-grandson: Leo
Also numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jan; a son, Timothy Borchardt in 2018; siblings, Judy (Don) Zueske and Bob (Mary Lynn) Borchardt.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, (North Location), 53 N. Main St. Clintonville. Fr. Timothy Shillcox O. Praem will be officiating the service. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #664, American Legion Post #63, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63, all of Clintonville. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
Visitation will take place on Monday at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
