Janet Paul Obituary

Janet M. (Creech) Paul, age 83 of Milwaukee passed away on Tuesday June 9th at The Living Tree Estates in Greenville, WI. Born on September 1, 1936 in Caspian, MI, her family moved to Richmond, Virginia when she was a child and then back to the midwest to Split Rock, WI when she was 11 years old. She graduated from Tigerton High School in 1954. After High School she moved to Milwaukee and lived with her sister, Mary, in an all girls dorm. Shortly after moving to Milwaukee, Jan started working at Louis Allis Co. and remained with the company for over 40 years. She did everything from secretary work to accounting and eventually management. Jan met and married her husband, Robert Paul in 1959. Bob and Jan built their home on Morgan Ave. in Milwaukee where they raised their only son, David and lived the rest of their lives. The couple also owned and managed Bob Paul’s Tire Center on National Avenue in Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Lenore (Kernen) Creech, husband Robert Paul, son David Paul, sister Betty (Creech) (Schwartz) Basford, and brother Lester aka Butch Creech.

She is survived by her grandson Michael Paul, sister Mary Creech (Buschke) Proctor, and brothers; George aka Mike Creech and Carl (Tina) Creech as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jan had many friends and loved to socialize, dine out, travel and entertain. Her favorite hobbies were reading, cooking and collecting recipes, doing crossword puzzles and gambling. Jan enjoyed traveling to casinos all over the country several times a year and belonged to the High Rollers Club. Jan continued to enjoy taking these trips as recently as December, 2019! Jan always loved a good joke, had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Living Tree Estates for the wonderful care she received during her brief stay. Janet would often tell her family “these girls just dote on me!”

Per Janet’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time.
