Joanne P. (Eggleston) Rasmussen, age 80 of New London, passed away Sunday afternoon November 26, 2023 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.
Joanne Phyllis Eggleston was born on January 26, 1943 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hildegard (Gehrt) Eggleston. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1961 and moved to New London in 1963. Joanne worked in the food business most of her life; at the Pine Tree in New London for 20 years and as a cook at Bucky’s Restaurant in New London for 8 years. Joanne also loved to cook and bake for her family and made sure none of her guests ever went home hungry. She was quite possibly the world’s biggest Elvis Presley fan and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Joanne loved her family and looked forward to spending time with them whenever possible.
Survivors include:
Her Daughters: Linda (Mark) Egan & Shelly (Scott) Huss.
Grandchildren: Aaron (Ashley), Dillon (Amber), Macy (Dave), Brandon (Leah), and Alex (Brooke).
Great-Granddaugher: Chloe.
Brothers: Bill (Virginia) Eggleston & Richard (Sue) Eggleston.
Also numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her fiance Edwin Wulf, a sister Phyllis Eggleston as a child, and by brothers Jim (Mary), Howard (Jan), Donald (Donna), and Bob (Teddy) Eggleston.
Joanne’s Memorial Service will be held Friday December 8, 2023 at 11am at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory (South Location 299 S. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929). Rev. Shelly Klemp will officiate and inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville following the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9am until the time of the service. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
