John "Jack" Wilson Obituary

John “Jack” P. Wilson, age 73 of Clintonville passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Shawano Health Services, Shawano.

John “Jack” Peter Wilson was born in Clintonville on June 15, 1945, son of the late John Joseph & Delores Mabel (Hansen) Wilson. He attended Clintonville Schools and graduated from CHS with the class of 1963. Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army in June of 1963 and served his country as an aircraft and helicopter mechanic in Vietnam, until his honorable discharge in 1966. He was united in marriage to Susan Euhardy on May 21, 1966 at Church of Our Savior Lutheran, Fond du Lac. Jack worked for Atlas Conveyor, Mantin Bros., and MCC as a concrete batch mixer until his retirement on Oct. 1, 2007. Jack served as alderman in the city of Clintonville for a time, and was an active member at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. He really had a passion for woodworking, and was skilled at crafting almost anything: rocking chairs and horses, dressers, or jewelry boxes just to name a few. Jack also loved cars and motorcycles and had many different machines over the years, most recently his Honda Trike. He loved to hunt and trap with his son, go ice-fishing, and watch NASCAR racing. He might be remembered for the yellow bicycle he used to ride around Clintonville with the tall ape-hanger handlebars. Jack will be most remembered for his independent, strong-willed character; he was always the last to ask for help, but the first to offer help to others.

He is survived by his wife: Sue (AKA Ma Bear)
Son: John Peter (Kristi) Wilson Jr.
Daughter: Jennifer Sue (Scott) Urbanski
Grandchildren: Jason, Joshua, Jesse, & Jasmine Wilson, and Alexis & Alaina Uttecht

He is further survived by his sister Mary and her husband Dale Finger, brother Michael and his wife Patricia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy; brother, David; and his father and mother-in-law, Roy and Gladys Euhardy.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #664, American Legion Post #63, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63, all of Clintonville. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 9 AM until the time of the services.
