Joyce Miller Obituary

Joyce L. Miller, nee Arndt, age 91 of Clintonville passed away Saturday evening May 20, 2023 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

Joyce Lucille Arndt was born on September 29, 1931 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late Harvey and Lucille (Niemuth) Arndt. When Joyce was just a young girl her family moved to a farm in the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County and she then graduated from Clintonville High School in 1949. Joyce worked at the Clintonville Hospital helping to setup the Emergency Rooms with supplies and also worked at Dr. Topp’s office in town. She was united in marriage to Duane R. Miller on July 17, 1954 at Christus Lutheran Church. Together Duane and Joyce owned and operated numerous cheese factories, farms, and taverns in the area. Joyce also served the Town of Larrabee as it’s Treasurer from 1984 until 2014. She enjoyed donating her time to help at the Clintonville Food Pantry and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion.

Survivors include her loving children: Randy (Mary) Miller; Allan (Joanie) Miller, Phyllis (Terry) Zehren, and Terry (Cindy) Miller.

Grandchildren: Josh (Irene) Miller, Mandy (Jordan) Kriesel, Alea (Rosen) Zhelev, and Brenton Newby.

Great-Grandchildren: Cala, Eliot, Ivey, Louie, and Jensen Miller, and Baby Boy Zhelev to be joining the family any day.

Brothers-in-law: Bill Gartzke and Joe Davis.
Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Duane in 2022, parents Harvey and Lucille Arndt, in-laws Gust and Minnie Miller, sisters Ruby Gartzke, Carol (John) Bakes, and Barbara Davis, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Ginny Miller, Margie (Raymond) Jeske, and Louie Miller.

As per Joyce’s wishes no formal services are to be held at this time. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Roseland Cemetery in the Town of Dupont. The Miller family would like to thank the staff at Care Partners for their care and compassion as well as Pastors Brian Crocker and Shelly Klemp from Christus Lutheran for their prayers and visits.
