Karen Niemuth Obituary

Karen R. Niemuth, age 81 of Clintonville, formerly of the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County passed away Sunday evening December 15, 2024 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.

Karen Rae Niemuth was born on July 19, 1943 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Harold and Ruby (Lehman) Niemuth. She grew up in the Town of Dupont on the family farm and although she had disabilities, Karen never let that slow her down. She was a unique part of the family and was a great “cleaner upper”, seemingly always following behind her siblings cleaning up after them. Karen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dupont her entire life. She enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, watching her birds, and working on word searches and puzzles. She had a wonderful memory and never missed recognizing a family birthday or anniversary. At family gatherings she always wanted her favorite drink; a pina colada.

16 years ago Karen moved to Greentree Health & Rehabilitation in Clintonville. Many of the nurses there were like family to her and she loved getting involved with many tasks and activities at Greentree.  Karen's tasks included delivering the newspapers to residents , cutting scrap paper for note taking, baking and keeping a watch over her roommates.  When family and friends stopped to visit, she proudly filled them in on everything she had been doing.

Survivors include: Her Sister: Donna Beyer.

Brothers: William “Bill” (Pat) Niemuth, Thomas (Krissy Busch) Niemuth, & Joseph (Gemma) Niemuth.

Nieces & Nephews: Lindsey (Chris) VandeHoef, Candice (Lars) Nielsen, Heather (Ty) Barwick, Nicholas (Katrin) Niemuth, Niles (Joanna) Niemuth, Alex Niemuth, Tammy (Mark) Langfield, Pamela Goodreau, Robert (Lindsay) Beyer, Jr., Laurie (Joel) Henschel, Kristine (Michael) Mehlberg, Carrie (Chad)Hildeman, Jodie (Tyler) Laatsch,
