Katherine Starr Young

Katherine Starr Young, age 71 of Daggett, MI passed away at her home with family and loved ones by her side.

Katherine was born August 20, 1947 in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of the late Levy Young and Mary Besson Young.

Katherine loved horses and dogs; her favorite being Doberman Pinchers. She loved spending time on trail rides with her horses and friends, as well as helping animals and people through difficult times. Katherine enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family, traveling on motorcycles, and watching Green Bay Packer Football.

Survivors include 6 children: Teresa Ashour, Jeffery Block, Brad DeCamp, Katherine Brooks, Kevin Lanaville, and Paula Lanaville; 4 sisters: Mary Margaret Boddy, Margaret Louise Young, Deborah Ann Johnston, and Susan Kay Young; fiancé Wayne Mier; 22 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, David L. Young and Norbert J. Young; both parents; two sons, Anthony Michael Block and Paul H. Lanaville Jr.; and her husband, Paul H. Lanaville Sr.

Katherine will be surely missed but live on in the hearts of all she has touched.

A graveside committal service will be held 1 PM Friday, August 31, 2018 at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
