Kenneth Raisler Obituary

Kenneth Raisler
Our dad passed away on Wednesday, March 9 after a short illness. Ken was born on June 16, 1932, the son of Andrew and Edna (Sievers) Raisler. He was baptized on July 3, 1932 and confirmed on March 25, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bear Creek where he was a lifelong member.

Dad married mom, Fay Brennenstuhl, on December 12, 1959. They were blessed with five children and almost 51 years of marriage before mom’s passing in November of 2010.
Dad was a hard-working dairy farmer. He instilled a strong work ethic for us kids (even though we might not have appreciated it at the time). Dad served as a supervisor for the Town of Bear Creek. He was a charter and lifelong member of the Union Threshermen’s Club. He also worked for the Clintonville School District as a night janitor for several years after he retired from farming. He got to know many of our high school teachers and found out he raised some pretty good kids, not that he didn’t know that already. As mom’s health was failing, we saw the deep love and tender caring side of dad as he took on the role of her caregiver. Dad took on that role and said it never caused him stress. We know better. He loved tinkering with his antique tractors and his many lawn mowers. He especially loved fishing, mostly in the winter. He would catch so many fish that it would be fish for breakfast, dinner and supper when we were growing up.

Dad is survived by his children, Amy Webb (special friend Michael Rackauskis), Daytona Beach, FL, Marcia (Jeff) Pethke, Bear Creek, Bruce (Sally) Raisler, New London and Sara (Erv) Smith, Bear Creek.
Grandchildren: Kimberly (Michael) Saunders, Stephanie (fiancé Aaron Stasinski) Burton, Spenser Burton, Abby (Dan) Schulz, Adam (Lacy) Raisler, Eric (Molly) Raisler, Samantha (Tyler) Griffin, Danielle (Jake) Zinsli, Zach (Isha) Beyer and Miriam (Bret) McCarty.
Great Grandchildren: Ridley Vacca, Zosia Stasinski, MaKieyela, Mallex, MaHayleigha, and MaKayna Raisler, Lauren Raisler, Cheyenne, Christine and Lily Griffin, Zoey Beyer, Trenton Parker, Marah Smith and Xavier Lapp and baby Raisler due in June, and baby Schulz due in August.
He is further survived by his sister Emy Brezinski, Glen Mills, PA and Mae Sanford, Beloit, WI and a brother-in-law Tom Jozwiak, Tigerton, WI and several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Fay, daughter Andrea, son-in-law Rufus Webb, parents, in-laws William and Hilda Brennenstuhl, sisters Ruth (Bill) Selle, Geraldine (Don) Hedberg and brother Llewellyn (Elaine) Raisler, sister-in-law, Ruth Jozwiak and brother-in-laws Jerry Brezinski, Larry Sanford, and Don (Doris) Brennenstuhl and granddaughter Christine Beyer.

We would like to thank the amazing nurses and staff of Thedacare at Home Hospice for the care and concern given to dad in his final days. We would also like to thank Vito, our in-home caregiver, for making dad’s wish come true, to spend his final days in the only home he knew. You were a gift from God, Vito, and we will be forever grateful.
