Kenneth "Ken" McCarten Obituary

Kenneth “Ken” J. McCarten, age 49 of Clintonville passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Kenneth John McCarten was born on February 2, 1977 in Elk Grove, IL as the son of Beverly (Giustino) McCarten and the late Kenneth W. McCarten. Ken moved with his family to Clintonville as a boy and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1995. He met Jenny Hendricks while the two worked at Converting in Clintonville and the couple logged over 26 years together. They were united in marriage on April 4, 2025 in Shawano. Ken enjoyed going out to eat with Jenny and friends at the Corner Bar in Pella and also looked forward to casino trips, playing cards, and golfing. Once he had to leave his position at Converting due to health reasons, Ken was proud to work for his buddy Ryan Mijal at Arty’s and also loved visiting with the patrons at Tadych’s Marketplace while stocking shelves. His open personality often made even strangers laugh, and his oversharing was a staple on his many hunts over the years. Plain and simple, the world could use more Ken McCartens. His passion for the outdoors was at its pinnacle when he could spend that time with his close friends. He always looked forward to bow and gun deer seasons and went on a number of out of state hunts in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, and Colorado. His fun and outgoing personality will be missed by many, but the memories he left us with will carry on forever.

Survivors include: His Wife: Jenny Hendricks.
Sons: Noah McCarten and Josh Wolf.
His Mother: Beverly McCarten.
Mother-in-law: Vicki Hendricks.
Sisters: Kimberly Wherry, Dawn (Mike) Rouse, and Joanna (Jobie) Davies.
A Brother-in-law: Jeff (Jenny) Hendricks.
Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his father Kenneth W. McCarten, father-in-law Richard Hendricks, and a brother-in-law Blane Ingersoll.
