Kenneth “Ken” J. Schertz, age 72 of the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County passed away Thursday morning, May 22, 2025 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.
Kenneth James Schertz was born on July 30, 1952 in Clintonville as the son of the late James and Joyce (Schultz) Schertz. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1970 and went right into what would turn out to be his life long career as a Tester at Miller Electric; retiring in 2018. He was united in marriage to Jeanne Tooley and the couple had 2 children; Bethany and Jayme and later divorced. Ken was then married to Sandy Stanchik and blessed with her daughter; Dana and also divorced. Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time with family and friends hunting, fishing, and camping. Some of his favorite times were spent trout fishing and wetting a line with his grandson Rogan. He also rarely missed his grandchildren’s sporting or school events as his love for them was an integral part of who he was. Ken looked forward to a good game of Sheephead with his family and was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

His Daughters: Bethany (Pete) Morton and Dana (Tom) Marsh.
His Son: Jayme (Katy) Schertz.
Grandchildren: Rilie & Rogan Schertz, Tyler & Jacob Marsh, and Sean & Josh Morton.
His Sister: Sandy (Jeff Paul) Young.
Brother: Doug (Janet Miller) Schertz.
Sister-in-law: Tina (Pat Sullivan) Schertz.
His Previous Wife: Jeanne Tooley.
Alson numerous other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents James & Joyce Schertz, a grandson Luke Morton, a brother Ron Schertz, his previous wife Sandy Stanchik, and a brother-in-law Frank Young.
A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held on Saturday May 31, 2025 from 1pm – 5pm at Memory Lanes in Clintonville. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
