Kirsten “Kiki” V. Miller, age 61 of Clintonville passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday afternoon, August 17, 2021 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.
Kirsten Victoria Kruger was born on March 16, 1960 in Toledo, OH as the daughter of the late Herman and Helga (Evers) Kruger. She graduated from Marion High School in 1978 and attended UW Madison prior to graduating from Madison Area Technical College nursing program in 1982. Kiki was united in marriage to Mike Miller on September 11, 1982 in Ketchikan, Alaska. Kiki worked at Clover Pass Christian School in Ketchikan as both a Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide and as their school nurse. She later worked as an LPN for The Pioneer Home, a nursing Home in Ketchikan and while raising three children she was involved in the community, speaking to the city council, answering calls for Pro Life hotline, and ministry as a respite care worker. In 1991 the family moved back to Wisconsin. At different times Kiki then worked at Heartland Home in Shawano and for REM Services of Wisconsin working with the disabled. She enjoyed and took pride in home schooling her children and was a member of Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Clintonville. She also served the community as a volunteer for Clintonville’s Meals on Wheels program. Kiki enjoyed snow skiing, riding horses, and all things outdoors when she was younger and more recently enjoyed watching birds, working with flowers, trips to Door County, collecting blue glassware, and spending any time she could visiting Cedar Lake where her family had a cabin when she was growing up. For the past 15 years or so, Kiki had been pouring a lot of love on her pets Heidi the Dachshund and Lucas her beloved Chihuahua. Through all the years Kiki was well known and appreciated for her gift of encouragement! Everyone she met felt at least a little bit better for her sweet compliments and the kind-hearted interest she took in their lives.
