Lawrence "Larry" V. Danke

Lawrence “Larry” V. Danke, age 79 of Stevens Point, formerly of Clintonville passed away at home, October 21, 2021 due to congestive heart failure.

Larry was born in Oshkosh to Vernon and Margaret (Petrie) Danke. He was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and served 8 years in the Army National Guard prior to being honorably discharged. He traveled and worked as a promotional sales representative with major food manufacturers most of his adult life. Larry was a District Sales Manager with Nestle Foods & Beverages for 25 years, where he won many awards for outstanding sales accomplishments. Larry was an extrovert. He had an outgoing and gregarious personality. Larry had a natural talent for landscaping that was reflected in the beautiful, botanical like, yard and grounds he created. He took great pride in his family & home. Larry loved his family and the family pets, especially his German Shepherd, Diamond. Larry married his wife, Ramona (Tellock), August 14, 1965. They were married 56 years. 

Larry is survived by his wife: Ramona.
Son: Kobi (Sarah) Danke.
Grandchildren: Holland and Lily Danke.
Also many nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dennis & Eugene Danke.

Larry’s graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11 AM at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville with Rev. Diana Ziegler officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by members of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63, VFW Post#664, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #63, and DAV Chapter #53 at the cemetery.
