LeRoy Hoernke Obituary

LeRoy D. Hoernke, age 77 of the Township of Matteson passed away on October 27, 2021 at his home.

LeRoy David Hoernke was born on December 17, 1943 in Clintonville, son to the late Leo J. & Esther I. (Koehler) Hoernke. He was a current member of Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where he attended regularly. LeRoy enjoyed feeding the wildlife in his yard and caring for cats near his house that didn’t have a home. He kept to himself, but stayed busy, going for long drives in his car and following the Green Bay Packers. He was a person of few words, perfectly happy living out his life mostly by himself, with the exception close family members.

He is survived by:
Sister: Charlotte Koeller
Brother: Charles Hoernke

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert; & a brother-in-law, Milton Koeller.

A graveside committal service, followed by interment will take place 9 AM Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Embarrass, WI, with the Rev. Shelly Klemp officiating.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting the Hoernke family.
