Leota M. Bennett, age 64, of 111 North Ash Street, Tigerton, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. The former Leota Marie Bennett was born June 28, 1941 at Crandon, WI. and was the daughter of the former Clifford and Mabelle (McDonald) Bennett. She had been a resident of Tigerton, for the past 30 years, and had worked as a cook/baker at the local grocery store, retiring in 2002. Leota was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, and was an active Volunteer for the Tigerton Main Street Association. She never married, and enjoyed reading, and the presence of her cat, Dolly.
Survivors include one brother, Charles (Lottie) Bennett, Fallon, NV., and one sister-in-law, Darlene Bennett, Antigo, WI. Also there are numerous nieces and nephews. Leota was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one niece.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 9, 2006 at 7:30 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate, with burial in the Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call from 7:00 P.M. Friday at the church until the time of the services. The BeiL-Didier Funeral Home , Tigerton is assisting the family
