Lloyd Charlie Fischer

Lloyd C. Fischer, age 76 of the Township of Pella, Shawano County, went to the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at ThedaCare Medical Center, New London.

Lloyd Charlie Fischer was born September 18, 1945. Lloyd and his father Arnold and his mother Stella lived in Pella since 1947. Both of his parents have passed on. He grew up in Pella. Lloyd attended the Smithville (Pella) School through 7th grade, and then he went to Marion High School from 8th grade through graduation.

His dad Arnold worked at Grosskopf’s Sawmill and would take Lloyd along to work with him as a lad. Lloyd found himself working there until it closed in 1963. Lloyd worked at Marion Plywood from February 2, 1964 - for 29 years and 7 months. Lloyd started his own lumber/firewood sawing business September 27, 1993.

Lloyd was a member and head usher since 1970 at Bethany Free Church in Clintonville. His love for God would shine through him. He was faithful and shared how God has taken care of him, especially through his bouts of cancer.

Lloyd always supported the Pella Community. Lloyd was on the Pella Fire Department. He attended Town Board Meetings, Pella Daze Meetings, supported Pella Eagles 4-H and he cut the lumber for the new Old Mill Park signs. Lloyd was in nearly every parade with his mother’s 1972 Ford Maverick. Lloyd also sold so many tickets as “Pink Lloyd” for Leopolis Booster Club that they shared the wealth to defray costs to upgrade the Pella Park softball field. Lloyd Fischer was the 2021 Pella Daze Parade Marshal. He really loved his community and loved life.

He is sadly missed by so many friends, family and neighbors; too many to list.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents.

Lloyd’s funeral will be held Tuesday November 16, 2021 at Bethany Evangelical Free Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Kurt Hettinga officiating. Visitation and fellowship will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Church service starting at 7 p.m. Burial will be Wednesday November 17, 2021 9 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery.
