Lois M. (Arndt) Glocke

Lois M. Glocke, age 91 of Clintonville passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 18, 2020 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.

Lois was born on December 28, 1928 in Hayes, WI as the daughter of the late Edgar and Elsie (Borman) Arndt. She moved with her family to Shawano where she graduated from Shawano High School in 1946. Lois was united in marriage to Victor Glocke on June 28, 1947 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. The married couple moved to Clintonville where Lois worked as a clerk at the Schultz Brother’s Store on Main Street for 22 years from 1951-1981. Lois then spent a few years working for Hillshire Farms in New London and in 1983 she was hired as a school bus driver for Clintonville School Way where she worked until her retirement. She loved getting to know the children she drove each day and enjoyed watching them grow up. Lois was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville since moving to town and helped out with various church activities over the years. She enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk, attending polka dances with Victor, playing sheepshead, helping Victor make lawn ornaments, and loved visiting with her friends and spending time with her family.

Lois was the beloved mother of Carl (Sandy) Glocke, Deer Park & Robert Glocke, Clintonville. Proud grandmother of Todd, Tim, Tresa, and Jeff and 8 great-grandchildren, and the beloved sister of Jane (Jerry) Griedl, Oshkosh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor in 2000, and 3 brothers in infancy; Harold, Harley, & Roger Arndt.

Lois’ funeral service will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11 AM at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Weber officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service. The Glocke family respectfully asks that those attending please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Lois’ family. They would like to thank the entire staff at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation for their loving care of Lois during her time there.
