Lois M. Schnake, age 77 of the Township of Matteson, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home.
Lois Mae Schnake was born May 13, 1943 in Sheboygan, WI, daughter to the late Berthold & Eleonore (Rohde) Miske. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961 and worked as a secretary at Foremost Trucking in Adell, WI. Lois was united in marriage to Norman Paul Schnake on June 6, 1964 at Emmauel Lutheran Church also in Adell, WI. They moved to Clintonville where Lois cared for her family. In addition to her son, Luther, Lois and Norman cared for and became guardians of their nieces, Judy and Karen after the passing of their parents. Later, Lois worked at St. Martin School for many years as the head cook; she also managed her Tupperware sales business on the side. Lois was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville for many years, serving in the choir as well as the Ladies Aid. She also worked in the bakery at the Wal-Mart store in Shawano for about 15 years until her retirement. In her younger years, she loved camping, fishing, and the family’s yearly vacations to Canada. More recently, since Norman’s passing in 2006, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, and quilting. Lois will be remembered as a caring, loving mother to all of her family.

Great-grandchildren: Kaydyn, Makaya, & Aliyas May, Deanna & Develynn Deyo, Kiera & Elliot Copplinger, Brooklyn & Blake Zuehl, & Alayna, Angela, & Logan Love
Sister: Bernita (Roy) Wilde
Brothers: Robert (Christel) Miske & Richard (Debra) Miske
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; and her sister, Gertrude Shaver.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment will take place following the service at St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Larrabee.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.
