LorAyne Karst Obituary

 LorAyne M. Karst, age 93 of Clintonville, formerly of the greater Milwaukee area, passed away peacefully Friday evening September 20, 2024 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Clintonville.

LorAyne was born on August 21, 1931 as the daughter of the late Adalia Woods. She graduated from Birnamwood High School and spent most of her life living in the suburbs of Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Gordon L. Karst and the couple later separated. LorAyne worked at Briggs and Stratton in Wauwatosa as a machinist until her retirement. She was an excellent bowler; traveling all over the US bowling in Nationals, earning many trophies over the years. She was a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. She was also very independent and only recently moved to Clintonville to be near family due to her failing health. She was a loving caregiver to all of her friends and was always there when her family needed her. 

Survivors include: Her Children: Mickey (LuAnn) Karst and John (Patty Peterson) Karst.
Grandchildren: LaMar Karst, Jeremy (Vicki) Karst, Lisa (Donnie Debruin) Karst, Laurie (Kyle Gerhard) Vollrath, Tim (Summer) Karst, John (Melissa) Karst, Bryan Karst, Jodi Van Gorder, and Richard VanLare.
Great-Grandchildren: Hailey (Joe) Mackowiak, Megan (Tristan) Ader, Aaron Gerhard, Mickey Gerhard, Zachary Karst, Dylan Carey, Matthew Carey, Lila Debruin, Walker Karst, Adalee Karst, Bella Karst, Vivi Karst, Abel Karst, Collin Karst, Wyatt Karst, Jorja Karst, Rhiennon Vangorder, Shane Vangorder, Bailey VanLare, and Jade VanLare.
Great-Great-Grandchildren: Magnes, Landon, and Eli.
Those waiting at the gates of Heaven were, her daughter Vicky Karst-VanLare, a grandson Michael Karst, and a great-granddaughter Isla Karst. 

The family would like to thank LorAyne’s special friend Julie Guerrera who took care of her for a few years prior to her move to Clintonville. Also a Big thank you to everyone at Care Partners in Clintonville, who loved her and treated her as family. Thank you to Linda at Compassus Hospice.
