Lucille Netzel Obituary

Lucille L. Netzel, age 93 of Clintonville passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at The Pines Post Acute & Memory Care, Embarrass.

Lucille Lorraine Netzel was born August 10 1930 in Tigerton, WI, daughter to the late Neal & Helen (Hunt) Larson. She was united in marriage to Willard William Netzel on September 16, 1946 in Shawano, WI; they were married for 60 years and had eight children. Willard preceded Lucille in death on September 30, 2006. She lived her life as a care-giver to whoever needed help. She was a strong, determined,(some may say stubborn) woman who pitched in when anyone needed help. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion. Lucille worked at Grimm’s Restaurant for several years; when they closed, she worked at Jerry & Pat’s Restaurant, Clintonville. It was there that she made the most amazing cinnamon rolls from scratch. She was a very good cook. She had boundless love for her eight children, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, & 12 great-great-grandchildren. Lucille was definitely a nurturing person who loved many, was loved by many; and she will be missed greatly.

Family left behind are:
Children: Larry (Helen) Netzel; Carolyn (Dennis) Sturm; Mark Netzel; Lori (Bob) Ausloss; Lisa (Bruce) Romberg
Grandchildren: Christine (Jesse) White; Lisa (Mike) Pickens; Debbie (Stephan) Miller; Amanda (James Nelson) Netzel; Wendy (Mike) Ovik; Amy (Reese) Sturm; Jeremy (Megan) Sturm; Bradley Sturm; April Netzel; Matthew (Billie Jo) Netzel; Perry (Sam) Nolan; Cody Nolan; Crystal Romberg; Kevin Romberg; Sarah (Phil) Rew; Christopher Roever; Casey (Fanda) Netzel; & Carrie (Nick) LeNoble
She is further survived by several nieces and nephews who she enjoyed seeing whenever they could get together.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard; her children, Steve Netzel, Sheila Schmidt, & Lance Netzel; grandchildren, Terri Netzel & Angie Netzel; her five siblings and their spouses; and all of her brothers & sisters-in-law and their spouses.

As per Lucille’s wishes, no public services are to be held at this time. Inurnment will take place privately at St. John’s Trinity Cemetery, Town of Dupont, at a later date.

A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you
You taught us love and how to fight
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another
Not just as a wife, not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best
And now the time has come for you to rest.
