Mae Dawn Hintz
Mae Dawn Hintz, age 81, of N11044 Hintz Road, Marion, passed away suddenly, Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her home in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County.
The former Mae Dawn Hammerberg, was born February 11, 1925 at Crandon, WI., and was the daughter of the late Carl and Beatrice (Barker) Hammerberg. Dawn was united in marriage to Marvin Hintz on June 15, 1949 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New London, WI. The couple had farmed in the Town of Dupont, since there marriage, and have been members of St. John Lutheran Church, Marion. Dawn was very active in her church, where she enjoyed quilting, had been a Sunday school teacher, Bible Study Leader, Altar Guild member, WELCA member, and was a member of the Jubilante Chimers. She was a member of the Gideon Bible Society, Dupont Homemakers, served as a 4-H leader, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crosswords, was an avid reader, and enjoyed travel with her husband, Marvin.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin. Eleven children, Daniel (Karen) Hintz, Marion, Richard (Kaye) Hintz, Westboro, Beth Hintz (fianc Dan Mathews), Janesville, Brian (Neatnapit) Hintz, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Debra (Mike) Mattes, Tigerton, Bruce Hintz, Tirana, Albania, Paul (Lisbeth) Hintz, Weyauwega, Douglas Hintz, Madison, Ruth (Frank) Bauer, Scandinavia, Pam (John) Moe, Appleton, and Erich (Debbie) Hintz, Manawa. There are 25 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Wallace (Norma) Hammerberg, Ellison Bay, and Robert (Jane) Hammerberg, New London. Also, one sister-in-law, Helen Hammerberg, Green Bay.
Dawn was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Hintz and four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, Marion. Rev. Tom Meyer and Rev. Susan Sheffer-Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenleaf Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the BeiL-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday, and at the church from 9:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services.
