Marlyn Sprenger Obituary

Marlyn J. Sprenger, age 72 of the Town of Matteson, passed away on Sunday morning, January 5, 2025 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Marlyn James Spenger was born March 2, 1952 in Clintonville, WI, son to the late Walter & LuElla (Rades) Sprenger. He graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1972. Marlyn was united in marriage to Kandi Kae Kuss on April 6, 1974 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, later raising their family in the area. He started his career at Torborg’s Clintonville Lumber for about 10 years. Marlyn later served our country in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, Marlyn returned to Clintonville and worked for the lumber company for a few years; and later started several businesses. He will be truly missed by many.

Marlyn is survived by his wife: Kandi
Daughter: Danielle (Dave) Joerres
Son: Chad Sprenger
Grandchildren: Halie (Joe) Hauser & Claire Joerres
Great-grandchildren: Eloise & Henry

Marlyn was preceded in death by his parents: son, Brad; granddaughter, Alexis Sprenger; and his brother, “Junior.” 

Memorial services will be held 6 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, North Location, 53 N. Main St. Clintonville, WI 54929. The Rev. Andrew Zobel will officiate. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 PM until the time of the service.
