Marsha J. Zimmerman, age 73 of Marion, formerly of Pella passed away Monday morning, August 3, 2020 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.
Marsha was born on September 24, 1946 in Shawano as the daughter of the late Al and Mae (Schmidt) Ankerson. She grew up in the Caroline area and was united in marriage to Fred “Fritzie” Zimmerman on December 15, 1963. The couple moved to the Zimmerman family farm in Pella where they farmed for many years with the help of their 3 children. The couple later divorced. Then Marsha operated Fritzie’s Bar for several years. Marsha then worked in the deli at Econofoods in Clintonville until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, trips to the casino, and was a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Marsha was known for her sassiness, but had a softer side that loved taking fall color rides, spending time up north, and sitting in the swing outside of her apartment. She always lit up when she could spend time with her grandchildren and especially adored her great-grandchildren who called her “Grandma Marshmallow”.
