Marvin Schwartz Obituary

Marvin L. Schwartz, age 94 of Clintonville, formerly of the Town of Larrabee, passed away on Monday afternoon June 30, 2025 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Marvin Leonard Schwartz was born November 20, 1930 in the Town of Larrabee Waupaca County, son to the late Fred & Linda (Wolf) Schwartz. He attended Clintonville High School with the class of 1948 and following graduating, Marvin went to work full time on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Maida R. Schmandt on June 28, 1952 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where he was a life-long member. The couple farmed for many years on the family farm; in 1978 the dairy cows were sold and they continued in cash cropping. While farming, Marvin also served in the cab department at FWD Seagrave, Clintonville, retiring after 36 years. He loved sports and had a strong work ethic which was also instilled in his children. While his children were at home, they always helped with chores, but Marvin made sure they had time for their own school sports and other activities that many farm kids don’t have the opportunity to participate in. He followed the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers pretty closely, and also bowled and golfed in local leagues. Marvin and Maida enjoyed camping in their retirement years, often to Door County; and loved spending time with their growing family as they became grandparents and great-grandparents. Marvin will be remembered for his work ethic, his willingness to help anyone, and the love he shared with family.

Marvin is survived by:
Daughters: Cathy (David) Henn, Atlanta & Sherry (Tom) Sawall, Kimberly
Sons: Rick (Ruth Ann) Schwartz, Florence, AZ; Mark (Sue) Schwartz, Hilton Head, SC; Tim (Pat) Schwartz, Florence, AZ; & Dan (Cindy) Schwartz, Clintonville
Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maida; and his brother, Carl Schwartz.
