Mary A. (Waskin) Dauer

Mary A. Dauer, age 93 of Clintonville passed away Friday March 6, 2020 at Aster Senior Living in Clintonville.

Mary was born on September 3, 1926 in Chicago, IL as the daughter of the late Kasmir and Veronica (McCaskey) Waskin. She was united in marriage to Charles Dauer in 1944 and always held her Catholic faith as the center of her life.

Survivors include: Her Daughters: Kathy Poppenhagen, Atlanta, GA. Susan “Sue” Dolan, Amherst Junction Pat (Todd) Deckert, Tampa, FL

Grandchildren: Keri (Bryan) Cooney, Christopher Poppenhagen, Stephanie (David) Hintz, Matthew & Benjamin Deckert, Shellie (Dave) Soderdahl, & Stacy (Rick) Teschky.

Great-Grandchildren: Trenten, Bella, Delaney, Ava, David, Dalton, & Ashton.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a son David Dauer, and sons-in-law; Martin Dolan & Ralph Poppenhagen.

A remembrance will be said for Mary at the normal St. Rose Catholic Church mass on Saturday March 14, 2020. Church service will start at 4 PM and Mary will be recognized and remembered during the service. Fr. Timothy Shillcox O. Praem will be conducting the mass. Inurnment will take place in the spring at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is entrusted with Mary’s arrangements.
