Mary S. Sievers, age 92 years, of Clintonville passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
The former Mary Sarah Palmer was born on July 22, 1914 at the home of her parents, Albert and Valinda (Fergot) Palmer, in the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County. She lived in the Clintonville area most of her life. On April 5, 1934 she was united in marriage to Benton H. Sievers at her parent's home in the Town of Matteson. Mary was an LPN at the Clintonville Community Hospital and then at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center until her retirement. Her husband Ben preceded her in death on January 16, 1990. She is a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville, where she was a former member of the choir, and a former Sunday School and VBS Teacher. Mary especially enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include three children; a son, George Sievers of McMinnville, OR, and two daughters, June (Roger) Buchberger of Whitehall, MI and Mary Jo Harris of Cape Coral, FL. There are 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one sister, Janet (John) Zuiker of Tomahawk. Further survived by a special sister-in-law, Dorothy Palmer of Clintonville, a son-in-law, Ken West of Pahoa, HI, two dear caregivers, Ken & June Buchberger of Clintonville, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Jean West, a son-in-law Joe Harris, a daughter-in-law Josephine "Jo" Sievers, a grandson James Benton Sievers, a granddaughter Lisa Wetzel, a great granddaughter Meghann Lalande, and 4 brothers, Albert, David, Harold and George Palmer.
Per Mary's request there will be no visitation or service held. Inurnment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family.
