Michealle Rose Durkatz-Purifoy, age 62 of Shawano, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.
Born on May 21, 1963, in Shawano, Wisconsin, Michealle was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Krueger. She grew up in the Milwaukee area, where she attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School, graduating with the class of 1981. A hard worker with a dedicated spirit, Michealle spent over 15 years serving her community at the Pick ’n Save grocery store in West Allis. While Milwaukee was home for many years, Michealle’s heart was often in the Clintonville area, where she spent many summers with family. She eventually moved to Clintonville in 2015 before more recently settling in Shawano. Though naturally introverted, Michealle found a new sense of social confidence after meeting the love of her life, Ronald Purifoy Sr. The couple was united in marriage on January 2, 2022, at Family of Christ Church in Clintonville, where they were current members. Michealle found joy in the simple things in life. She was an avid reader who could often be found lost in the pages of a classic novel or a romance book. Her home was frequently filled with the sounds of her favorite artists, including Elvis Presley, Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers, and Dolly Parton. Most of all, Michealle cherished the simple, unflashy moments spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Michealle is survived by her loving husband, Ronald
Daughters: Jessica (Chris) Gebert & Jackie (Andrew) Prata
Grandchildren: Saphira, Morgan, James, Elijah, & Scarlett
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Krueger.
Michealle’s celebration of life will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Family of Christ Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Steven Devroy officiating.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be directed to the family, to help offset final expenses.
The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting Michealle’s family.
