Mike Amerson Obituary

Mike A. Amerson, age 75 of Ogdensburg, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville. 

Mike was born on August 31, 1946 in Tipler as the son of the late Vernon and Fern (Brenner) Amerson. As a young man Mike was an OTR truck driver for many years and was married soon after high school to Sharon McGowan. The couple had 3 children and later divorced. Mike was then united in marriage to Kay Grebe on October 1, 1977 in Appleton and they also had a son. Mike drove truck until he was involved in a bad accident and as a result lost his leg. He then went to school to become a mechanical draftsman. Mike was employed at various places throughout the Fox Valley including Val-Met and Giddings & Lewis. He also spent time working for the government in TSA at the Appleton Airport. Mike loved woodworking, gunsmithing, watching the Green Bay Packers, hunting, fishing, and just spending time around his family. 

Survivors include: His Wife: Kay Amerson.
Daughter: Stephanie (Greg) Malliet.
Sons: Chris (Heather Clark) Amerson, Jason Amerson, and Eric Amerson.
11 Grandchildren & a Great-Grandson Trenton.
Sisters: Judy (Jack) Wallander & Susan (Jim) Arnoldussen.
A Brother: Pat (Mary) Amerson.

And a Sister-in-law: Billy-Sue Amerson.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Steve & Lee Amerson.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mike at a future date so please keep in touch with his family or follow them on Facebook.
