Mildred "Milly" W. Barnick

Mildred “Milly” W. Barnick, age 87 of Clintonville, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Clintonville.

Mildred Wilma Barnick was born on June 13, 1932 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late William and Anna (Roever) Barnick. She graduated from Marion High School in 1950 and always enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates over the years; rarely missing a reunion. After graduation she moved to Milwaukee with her sister Marcella and friend Perry Satori and worked at Hellwig as an office assistant for many years. While in Milwaukee she was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School along side her sister Marcella. Mildred moved to Clintonville in the late 1980s and was employed part-time at City Hall. After Marcella retired and was diagnosed with SNP, she joined Mildred in Clintonville. Mildred was always appreciative that City Hall allowed her a flexible schedule to remain Marcella’s caretaker. Mildred was a member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville for many years. Her friends were like her family and she enjoyed sharing jokes and laughs with all of them.

Nieces & Nephews: Susan (Steve May) Rose, Shelley (Jerry) Erdman, Wendy (Bruce) Ferris, Randall (Kerry) Rose, Darlene (Scott) Wolfe, Linda Rexroat, Rhonda (Eddie) Negron, Kathy (Mark) Siebers, Rochelle (Curtis) Batson, and Diane (Jeff Raddant) Barnick.

Also numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Clarence in infancy, George (Louise) Rose, Norman (Marion) Rose, and Lester Barnick, sisters; Elverna (Peter) Gumina and Marcella Barnick, a nephew-in-law John Rexroat, and her life-long friend Perry Satori.

Mildred’s funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Shelly Klemp officiating. Interment will follow at the Roseland Cemetery in the Town of Dupont. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Mildred’s family would like to thank Stonna, Gretchen, and the whole team at Care Partners as well as the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the excellent care she received during her stay.
