Nancy Lou (Anker) Bennett

Nancy L. Bennett, age 71 of the Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at her home.

Nancy Lou Bennett was born February 15, 1952 in Shawano, WI, daughter to the late Clifton & Laura (Braun) Anker.  She was united in marriage to Merrill Bennett “Mr. B” on September 4, 1998 in Houghton, MI. Nancy worked for years in the financial and retirement planning field, she really enjoyed her work because she loved serving others. After her own retirement, she enjoyed her new job of being a grandmother to her grandchildren and cherishing family time. Time spent hosting family at the home that she and Merrill built together on the Embarrass River, was something Nancy alway looked forward to. She also enjoyed caring for the property which God had blessed her with.

Nancy is survived by her children: Tony (Jamie) Ross; Stacy (Luther) Busch; Tim (Renee) Ross; Sara (James) Graese; Annette (Robert) Ejnik; & Jackie (Greg) Stezenski
Grandchildren: Jeremiah, Josiah, Abigail, Lydia, Ariel, Evelyn, Jace, Shilo, Nevin, Joe, Nate, Lisa, Josh, Ashley, & Jeremy
Great-Grandchildren: Atticus & Ezrah
Sister: Barb (Gary) Schoneck

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merrill Bennett in 2009; sisters, Betty Huebner, Rosemary Anker, and Pat Piotraschke; & brother, Andrew Anker.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Friday October 13, 2023 at Hope Community Church in Shawano with the Rev. Richie Ford officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 11 AM until the time of service.

Interment and committal service will take place privately at Friendship Cemetery, Town of Belle Plaine.
