Patricia Carlsen Obituary

Patricia A. Carlsen, age 78 of the Township of Larrabee, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.

Patricia “Pat” Ann Carlsen was born November 22, 1942 in northern Wisconsin, daughter to the late Russell & Bernadine (Rice) Briggs. She attended Three Lakes High School and enjoyed three years on the cheer squad. After graduation in 1960, Pat worked for a time at Cutler & Hammer, Milwaukee, and later was united in marriage to David K. Carlsen in Monico, WI on June 22, 1963. The family re-located to Homestead, FL while David served in the Air Force. Pat worked for a credit union on the Air Force base for a time; once their first child was born, she stayed at home with the kids. In 1970, they moved to Clintonville. Once the children were a bit older, Pat worked for the Shoppers Guide for 25 years as an advertising editor. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. After retirement, they loved to travel out west and to Florida with their camper. In her younger years, Pat enjoyed bowling couples, and volunteering her time as a Boy Scout Leader. She was active with the Red Hat Society, the Home Maker’s Club, as well as her church. Pat loved to play the piano over the years, she collected many different things, and also loved to dance; whether it was to a Polka, a Waltz, or a Rock and Roll tune.
