Phyllis J. Nachtrab, age 77 of the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County passed away Saturday evening, September 24, 2022 at Evergreen Health Services in Shawano.
Phyllis was born on August 15, 1945 in New London as the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Loehrke) Timm. She graduated from Winneconne High School and met her sweetheart Leslie Nachtrab at a polka dance. The couple were united in marriage on May 1, 1965 at the First English Church in Oshkosh. Phyllis worked at a number of different places throughout her life including the Winnebago State Hospital, Oshkosh Telephone Company, Gabriels Florist, Clintonville School District as a Special Ed Aide for 13 years, and as an RA for Kindred Hearts Assisted Living in Clintonville for over 15 years. The couple were faithful members of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville for many years where Phyllis had taught Wednesday School, Sunday School and VBS. She loved farming with Les and giving horse rides around the community. Phyllis also liked taking care of her flower gardens and watching the humming birds. She always worked hard to take care of her family and was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother.

Children: Kathy (Blair) Sawall, Vicki (Dan) Klemp, and Ron Nachtrab.
Grandchildren: Zach (Sandra) Sawall, Brett (Kristin) Sawall, Tyler (Jane) Sawall, Kristi Sawall, Dana Nachtrab, Beth (Brad Exworthy) Klemp, Kayla Klemp, Joe Klemp, Sophie, Trace, & Lane Nachtrab.
Great-Grandchildren: Zavier, Cece, Jonathan, Timothy, Renea, Annika, & George.
Daughter-in-law: Lisa Nachtrab.
Sister-in-law: Jeanette Timm.
Numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Elda Nachtrab, son Steven “Butch” Nachtrab, a daughter-in-law Christie Nachtrab, a grandson Cody Nachtrab, and her brother Frederick Timm.
Phyllis’ funeral service will be held Thursday September 29, 2022 at 12pm at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Jason Zobel officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery in the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10am until the time of the service.
