Raymond "Frank" Marquardt

Raymond “Frank” Marquardt, age 94 of Hillsboro, WI, formerly of the Tigerton area, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.

Raymond “Frank” Marquardt was born May 14, 1930 in Chicago, IL, son to the late William & Genevive (Rasch) Marquardt. In his younger years, he owned his own business called Marquardt Roofing. In 1968, he was united in marriage to Patricia Costello; she preceded him in death in 1997. When he had free time, Frank loved working on things like cars and fixing things around the house, as he had carpentry skills. In his later years, he loved to sit outdoors and be present in nature as he watched the birds and other wildlife.  

He is survived by his:
Daughter: Vicki (Cristobal “Bert”) Gonzales
Grandchildren: Delbert (Paige) Welch, Andres Gonzales, & Caridad Gonzales
Great-grandchildren: Oakley, Ophelia, Olivetta, Ariana, Onika, & Mateo
Sister: Jeannie Marquardt
Close friend: Levi White 

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia (Costello) Marquardt; son, Frank Marquardt; & brothers, Richard, William, & Harold Marquardt.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home in Tigerton, with the Rev. Clifford Kessen officiating. Interment will follow at Tigerton Union Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Friday at the funeral home from 1PM until the time of service.
